What's being measured?
Awakenings that occur between the first moment of falling asleep and the last wake-up are counted. Only nocturnal awakenings that last longer than 2 minutes are taken into account. Anything below 2 minutes is considered a micro-awakening.
Why is this measurement important?
The number of nocturnal awakenings allows us to quantify the solidity of your sleep. If there are too many nocturnal awakenings, your sleep is considered fragile and fragmented.
How to understand this measurement
A score is attributed to the number of nocturnal awakenings (over 2 minutes long).
