Headband structure

The new Dreem Band is made up of:

  • The front band which contains most of the headband’s sensors.
  • The top arch which contains most of the electronics, computing power, accelerometer and interaction zones (the touchpad and power button).
  • The side branches, at the end of which are electrodes(the back sensors) and an elastic band.
  • A sound level meter, designed to measure sound variations. This component is not activated today but will allow us to measure more precisely the breathing.

We designed the Dreem Band in collaboration with the industrial design agency fuseproject and with testers who participated in hundreds of test nights. Most of the headband is a mix of fabric and a special kind of plastic (TPU) to achieve the right balance of rigidity, structure, and comfort.
