How to: make sure that signal quality is optimal?

The position of your headband is very important as it detects your brainwaves, which determines your sleep stages. Bad positioning of your headband can lead to inaccurate results. To prevent this please follow the tips provided below.

  •  Position the headband securely on your head making sure the electrodes find their way through your hair to your skin.

  • If you feel that your headband is too loose you may use the back elastic reducers that came with your Dreem Band for a tighter fit. Click on how to use them for a helpful guide on how to apply the elastic reducers. To request an elastic reducer please contact our support team.
  • Use the headband with clean hair and a fresh clean face, please note that if you need to apply a cream for medical reasons, avoid the areas that will be in direct contact with the headband (temples, forehead) as much as possible. In addition, we ask that you also avoid oils in your hair around the back sensors.
  • Clean the sensors of your Band every 10 nights with a disinfectant wipe (70% isopropyl alcohol- used to disinfect skin or clean medical equipment).
